Reference Number 0000297658 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/07/25 12:00:00 AM CDT 1. The Contractor shall supply all necessary labour, equipment, material and supervision necessary to supply the required screened sand, in accordance with these specifications. 2. Sand shall be screened through a 3/8" screen. Gradation shall be 100% passing a 3/8" sieve and shall conform to the sample submitted. In no event will pit run sand be accepted. 3. The Contractor shall be responsible for shaping and maintaining the stockpile. The stockpile must be made by means of a stacker. The stockpile is located at the City Stockpile site at 208 Golf Road, in the vicinity of the City Garage. 4. Trucks shall have sand-tight boxes. 5. Contractor shall construct and maintain all haul roads. 6. Sand supplied shall conform to Item 2 in all respects and shall be suitable for street sanding. The Assistant Director of Works & Operations shall be the sole judge of the suitability of sand supplied, and his decision shall be final. Any sand delivered that is considered unsuitable shall be removed at the expense of the Contractor and shall be replaced by the Contractor at his expense. Sand is to be supplied from a pit for which the Contract has a valid permit. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
