The work consists of clearing and hauling off site from approximately 3.2 acres of utility easement and right-of-way, removing and replacing approximately 14 square yards of concrete driveway, 21 square yards of asphalt driveway, and 62 square yards of gravel driveway. The contractor must connect 10 linear feet of 2-inch SDR sanitary sewer force main to an existing manhole, install a grinder pump station, 3,264 linear feet of 10-inch SDR sewer pipe and fittings, 20 linear feet of 10-inch DIP in a 24-inch steel casing, and 9 sanitary sewer manholes. Additional work includes connecting to an existing water main, installing 533 linear feet of C-900 12-inch water pipe, grading easements and right-of-way, installing and maintaining erosion control measures, performing all testing and inspections, and providing appropriate traffic control until construction completion. The contractor is also responsible for offsite disposal of all items or debris to be demolished or removed. All work will occur within designated road right-of-way and utility easements. Bidders must purchase bidding documents through Clayton Digital Reprographics and be official plan holders to attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Bidders are required to have a minimum of five years of municipal work experience in drainage improvements and canal maintenance. Submission requirements include insurance certificates meeting the limits stated in bid documents, a 5% bid bond or certified/cashier's check, and a non-collusion affidavit. The City of Pooler reserves rights regarding bid evaluation, acceptance, rejection, and contract modifications after award.
