Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Soldotna, Alaska. Completed plans call civil work for a fire / police facility and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project is for a new sidewalk at the Soldotna Trooper Post. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Any errors, omissions, or questions pertaining to solicitation procedures or Project requirements, requests for additional documents, or inquiries pertaining to site conditions or scheduled visits must be made to: Title: Chris Capps; Building Management Specialist, at: chris.capps@alaska.gov, Telephone: 907-269-5925 Applicable provisions of AS 36.30 and 2 AAC 12 govern this solicitation. The scope of Work for this project includes but is not limited to the following: o A construction work schedule to be completed and submitted to the Procurement Officer for approval before any work on-site can be initiated. o Perimeter barricades required to prevent intrusion into the work area, however front door access into the facility will be required. Detailed sketch of proposed barricades and access required to be approved by Procurement Officer. o For front door access, contractor to provide a CDX plywood walkway with guardrail. o Remove existing concrete sidewalk along the front of the facility and dispose of debris. Replace with new concrete sidewalk. o New concrete sidewalk to be minimum 5-1/2" thickness and of a 6 sack per yard design mix. o Reinforcement shall be accurately positioned and secured against displacement. All reinforcing to be 1/2 " diameter grade 60 rebar space at 12" intervals and to be installed continuously for the entire length of the sidewalk. Laps to be minimum 30 diameters. The 1/2 " reinforcements to be perpendicular to the continuous runs to be spaced at not more than 12". All reinforcing bars to be 1-1/2" away from concrete surface and elevated off the subgrade with dobies of 2" thickness. Rebar installation inspection and approval in writing is required. Tooled or saw cut control joints to be 1/3 of the concrete depth and are not to exceed a spacing of 5 LF. The exact control joint layout plan to be submitted and approved by PM before the concrete is placed. o Edge trowel with a 3/4 " radius and apply a broom finish perpendicular to the path of travel. o Concrete to be covered with 6 mil visqueen after sufficiently curing, such that no abrasion occurs to the broom finish, not to exceed 4 hours. Visqueen to be continuously in place for minimum 72 hours
