Site work for a pipeline in Colfax, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a pipeline.
The scope of work includes providing engineering and related services for the Parish's Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization Project funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). The work will involve the replacement of existing steel or PVC gas mains with polyethylene mains, and potentially sewer lines, with specific locations and linear footage determined by the grant award. Services required include preliminary analysis of the Parish's needs, preliminary engineering design, final engineering design, construction observation, and project implementation compliant with PHMSA requirements. Agreements will be on a lump sum, fixed price basis, with payment terms to be negotiated. Bidders are instructed to submit written qualification statements that will be evaluated based on experience with similar projects, experience with federally funded construction projects, current capacity, and references for quality of work and schedule compliance. Small and/or minority owned firms and women's business enterprises are encouraged to participate.
