The City of Superior is seeking qualified contractors to install a roof mounted solar system on the North End Fire Station currently under construction and located at 1516 North 7th Street, Superior, Wisconsin, to reduce reliance on utility provided energy, participate in the renewable energy transition, and to ensure adequate supply of energy for future needs including the addition of electric fire trucks. The design, installation, and commissioning are to be completed by the selected contractor. Design and engineering to be completed by the Contractor and included in the cost proposed System will be roof-top, ballasted/flush mount, corrosion-resistant equipment The mounting system shall minimize roof penetrations and project must meet all applicable code requirements with respect to snow, wind, and other factors Modules tilted at 10 degrees for ballasted sections, with direct attachment flush mount for others Contractor will provide a weight loading plan to be approved by the City. Develop build and permit ready plans and specifications Provide Helioscope production estimates for construction plan sets and as-builts All systems should have qualified monitoring systems included and the software utilized should be noted in the proposal. Onsite review and training of monitoring system is included in the cost by the Contractor Provide as-built record drawings upon completion of project Contractor to apply for, and pay, the interconnection application fee to Superior Water and Light Power.
