The work generally consists of the following: installation of 3,000 linear feet of 6 inch PVC Water Main, 200 linear feet of 6 inch R.J.D.I Water Main, 150 linear feet of 8 inch HDPE Water Main (HDD Installation), 12 6-inch Gate Valves, 8 6-inch Inserta Valves, 30 Water Service Transfers, 175 linear feet of service tubing installed by open-cut, 875 linear feet of service tubing installed by boring, and other related items. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete proposals made available by the Owner. Complete digital project bidding documents are available upon an online payment of a non-refundable fee, with optional paper bid documents available upon payment of a refundable deposit. Each bidder must submit with their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders, and the successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Contractors Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the bidder's current State of Alabama license number is required. The project includes a Federal Buy America/American iron and steel requirement for materials utilized in the project. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with the work area prior to preparing bids. VISIT THE SITE: Before submitting a bid, perform a site visit and ascertain all existing conditions, and make adjustments in work as are required by the actual conditions encountered.
