Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Wostok, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work shall include the supply and installation of a new bridge culvert over a tributary to Egg Creek, located 5 km northeast of Wostok (SW 23-56-17-W4M). The Contractor shall install a 1.8 m diameter CSP culvert by 30 m invert length as per the Design Sketches and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The culvert will be located 35-degree RHF skew to the local road, centred at Station 5+557.500. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Traffic accommodation - Site isolation, turbidity monitoring, and fish capture and release - Demolition and disposal of bridge structures - Excavation, including geotextile filter fabric - Supply and assembly of culvert materials - Backfill, including backfill material testing - Heavy rock riprap erosion protection - Roadway work - Permanent environmental protection devices
