The Town of Stony Plain is seeking proposals from a qualified and experienced contractor for the supply and replacement or upgrade of residential, commercial, and industrial water meters. The scope of work includes: replacement of existing meters near the end of their useful life; design, supply, installation, and calibration of AMR infrastructure (RF Transmitters, Meter Reading Devices, Meter Route processing software, etc.); retrofit of existing meters that require Radio Transmitters for implementation of AMR system; and provision of a turnkey solution to the Town including project management, implementation plan, installation work, training and support, customer contact, public communication, minor civil work, and integration of data software with the Town’s billing software. The Town is expecting to complete the project within 6 to 8 years depending on annual funding provisions.
