Sealed bids are requested for HUR-Linwood Avenue (PID 121609), Norwalk, Ohio. All contract documents, including plans and specifications, may be examined at the offices of Richland Engineering, A Division of the Mannik & Smith Group, Inc., or the Office of the Public Works Director, City of Norwalk. Bid packages must be purchased from Richland Engineering, and only plan holders of record with the City of Norwalk are eligible to bid. Each bid must include security as specified, and a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond per Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, issued by a licensed surety. Bidders must submit the full names of all interested parties in the proposal and provide evidence of experience with projects of similar size and complexity. Prequalification with the Ohio Department of Transportation is required. Compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements, specified executive orders, and domestic steel use requirements is mandatory. Bidders must adhere to the prevailing wage scale for all Federal-Aid Projects, and the SBE Goal is 9%. No pre-bid meeting is planned; bidders are advised to visit the project site. The City of Norwalk reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, and will award the contract based on the lowest and best bid.
