The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is seeking proposals to perform a retrofit analysis on the Sioux Lookout Memorial Arena and Fitness Centre. The Arena was constructed in the 1950s, with an addition for dressing rooms built in the 1970s. The Fitness Centre was added to the west end of the Arena in 1988. The goal is to determine the best and most efficient use of the space, provide Barrier Free options throughout, and improve space functionality and energy efficiency. Project Deliverables: - Complete an Accessibility Audit of the entire building - Prepare draft conceptual designs for review - Prepare final conceptual designs after municipal review, including changes - Prepare Class C cost estimates for all recommended upgrades - Prepare a draft report listing recommended energy efficiency upgrades, roof/wall construction details, methods to reduce condensation in the arena, best use of waste heat from the ice plant, and equipment specifications for HVAC system upgrades - Prepare a final report after municipal review for the items listed above, including any changes; prepare Class C cost estimates for the recommended upgrades - Prepare a report outlining any structural concerns and include recommended repairs and/or additional investigations; prepare Class C cost estimate for these repairs or investigations.
