Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Furnishing and installation of two replacement Acrovyn barrier-resistant doors for mental health patient rooms, including all labor, parts, supplies, equipment, and incidentals required for complete installation. Work includes conducting a mandatory site visit to fully understand existing conditions and requirements, removal of existing doors, and installation of new doors in accordance with the statement of work and manufacturer technical specifications. Doors and all associated hardware must meet behavioral health ligature-resistant requirements, including minimized ligature points, anti-barricade and emergency access features, concealed or continuous hinges, and monitoring and security provisions such as door-top sensors. The doors must comply with applicable safety, fire, and performance standards, including NFPA 101-2012, NFPA 80, Joint Commission behavioral health standards, UL fire door and fire resistance standards, ANSI/UL, ASTM, ISO standards as applicable, and all relevant local and national building codes. Services are performed as part of market research to assess contractor capability to meet VA requirements.
