The project consists of providing construction services to install 17 electric ground support equipment (eGSE) charging stations and related infrastructure to support airport operations at Terminals 2 and 4 of Ontario International Airport. This includes installation of charging equipment, power distribution systems (panelboards, circuit breakers, feeders, branch circuits, disconnect switches, conduits, and wiring), installation of equipment pads, protective bollards, pavement marking and striping, and necessary site work. The contractor will need to coordinate with civil and airport operational requirements for equipment locations and routing of underground conduits, verify existing electrical system capacity and integrate with existing infrastructure, provide necessary grounding, bonding, and safety devices, and perform startup, commissioning, and testing. Preparation of as-built documentation and operation manuals is also required. All work must comply with the relevant codes and standards. Bid Alternate No. 1 requires the removal and replacement of an existing 12 kV, 600 A SF6 medium-voltage switch with a non-SF6 switch (vacuum or solid dielectric type), including all labor, materials, and services for a complete system. Instructions to bidders include: submission of bids in PDF format electronically via the designated portal with specified file and formatting requirements, inclusion of a cover page with specific contact information, submission of a bid form and schedule of work and prices, listing of subcontractors, and demonstration of minimum qualifications. Contractors must have proper licensing, provide bid bonds, and submit required administrative forms, including DBE utilization, affidavits of non-collusion, confidentiality agreements, and other specified documentation.
