Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Elkhart, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes work to improve the condition of the retaining walls located along Indiana Avenue and South Main Street within the City of Elkhart. The work involves drainage retrofits, including the installation of weep holes in the walls and the construction of a drainage ditch along the backside of the walls. Additional work includes the removal of walls and cosmetic repair of select existing walls along South Main Street. Coping block improvements will also be completed throughout the project limits. Bids must be submitted on State Board of Accounts 2013 REVISED BID FORM 96. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Indiana, payable without condition to the City of Elkhart, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by bidder and surety company in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. Any deviation from the bid documents must be explained by the bidder. The Board will award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Board reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities, and to reject any and all bids or portions thereof.
