Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work consists of repairing and reconstructing the deteriorated concrete sidewalk and the underlying vault structure beneath the G Street sidewalk, which have experienced moderate to severe degradation of concrete and encased structural framing due to long-term water intrusion and failure of the waterproofing membrane. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to demolish and replace the sidewalk slab and to repair and renovate vault beams, concrete slabs, columns, waterproofing membrane, and related structural elements to eliminate water migration into the basement. All work shall be performed in accordance with the design drawings and specifications provided with the statement of work, and the contractor shall obtain all required permits, traffic control plans, safety approvals, and security approvals prior to the start of construction. Pre-construction activities include coordination with project stakeholders, submission of project schedules, safety plans, and traffic control plans, and conducting pre-construction meetings and site walkthroughs. The work includes site preparation and selective demolition, installation of temporary barriers and traffic control measures, safe removal and disposal of debris, coordination and inspection of material deliveries, and secure storage of materials. Construction activities include structural repairs and installation, grading and preparation as required, installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, architectural finishes, weatherproofing, insulation, and testing of installed systems. The contractor shall maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations, implement safety measures for workers and pedestrians, address environmental considerations, perform quality control inspections, correct deficiencies, and complete project closeout activities including final walkthroughs, as-built drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, punch list resolution, site restoration, and submission of warranties and certifications. The period of performance is eighteen months from the Notice to Proceed, and a site visit will be scheduled and identified in the solicitation.
