Renovation of an educational facility in San Pablo, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The work involves roof improvements at Riverside Elementary School, located at 1300 Amador Street, San Pablo, CA 94806. The scope of work includes: (1) Demolition of a 5-foot section of the roof to repair dry rot, replacement of rotted deck wood, and patching the roofing, integrating the repair into the existing structure; (2) Cutting a 17-inch section of dry-rotted wood at 19 locations and replacing with new 4"x10" wood beams and new Douglas fir timber pieces, reinforcing by sistering two new 2"x10" Douglas fir timbers alongside the existing one, with pre-finished cut ends before installation and fastening using .276INx6" Simpson Strong-Drive SDWH Timber Hex HDG Wood Screws. All new repairs to include one coat of KLZ all-purpose exterior primer and painting of the entire underside of the awning; (3) Furnishing and installing approximately 80 feet of new 24-gauge Bonderized painted box gutter and one downspout; removal of approximately 600 feet of damaged gravel stop and replacement with new 24-gauge Bonderized edge metal (paint to match existing); furnishing and installing two 24-gauge Bonderized saddles, corner-connected to new edge metal; and furnishing and installing Henry Pro-Grade 294 base coat primer and Henry Pro-Grade 988 Silicone Coating on the entire roof. Bidders must submit all required documents electronically via the District's Online Vendor Portal. Required bid documents include the Bid Form, Bid Bond or other security, Designated Subcontractors List, Noncollusion Declaration, and Iran Contracting Act Certification. Bids must be complete, full, and provided on District forms; modifications to forms or substitution of forms are not allowed. A 10% bid security is required. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond, insurance certificates, and various certifications as specified. All work must be completed by the contract deadline. The District may reject any nonconforming, non-responsive, or unbalanced bids and reserves the right to waive inconsequential deviations not involving price, time, or changes in the work. Site safety, compliance with all applicable codes, and submission of bid in accordance with instructions are mandatory. Question Deadline 05/07/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to the District. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered.
