The work consists of construction services to renovate three existing irrigation pumping stations, known as the Natomas Named Pumping Plants, by removing existing discharge piping that currently penetrates levees and installing new discharge piping routed up and over the levees to connect with existing landside systems. The project includes levee excavation; removal of existing pipes, appurtenances, and associated components; levee embankment backfill and compaction; installation of new discharge piping; and restoration of impacted areas. Additional work varies by site and includes removal and replacement of portions of roadway pavement along Garden Highway, installation of vacuum systems and conduits, modification of existing maintenance ramps, installation of underground conduit, replacement of fiber optic line conduit, and construction of build-up areas as required. Construction will occur sequentially across the three pumping plants over multiple construction seasons, with all work performed in compliance with USACE safety requirements, applicable environmental constraints, and federal, state, and local regulations to deliver fully functional and reliable pumping plant infrastructure.
