The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proponents to submit Proposals for construction and installation services for the Standby Power System (SPS) Facility for the IIWWTP Projects. The general scope of work of this RFP and the list of pre-purchased major equipment that will form part of the SPS facility are included below. Electrical: Installation of underground conduits and cable tray Placement and connection of generators, transformers, and E-houses Installation of power, instrumentation and control cables Site acceptance testing, commissioning, and training for O&M staff Shutdown and cutover activities Mechanical: Installation of oil-water separator system Installation of diesel fuel system Installation of stormwater dewatering system Civil & Structural: Trenching for electrical conduits and mechanical pipes Construction of concrete equipment pads Metro Vancouver pre-purchased the following major equipment that will form part of the SPS facility. The contractor will be responsible for offloading, placement, installation and connection of this equipment, as well as for site acceptance testing, commissioning, and training for O&M staff. Standby Diesel Generators (SDGs) – 6 x 2MW containerized (i.e., shipping container type) Electrical Houses (E-Houses) containing 12.5kV switchgear Transformers, load banks, and neutral grounding resistors The contractor that will be retained to construct and install the SPS will be responsible for supplying ancillary equipment and materials such as: Medium voltage circuit breaker sections Fuel tanks and fuel piping systems Storm water pumping system, oil water separator, and other mechanical items Electrical cables, cable tray, lighting, grounding, and other electrical items Concrete pads, steel walkways, anchors, and other structural items Grading, backfill, clear crush finishing layer, and other civil items Documents can be obtained from https://metrovancouver.bidsandtenders.ca/ Question Deadline 06/15/2026 at 12:00 PM PT
