Description

Demolition, site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in North Liberty, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 6,000-square-foot water / sewer project; 25,700-square-foot fire / police facility; and 6,000-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.

The City of North Liberty intends to enter into a contract for the demolition and construction of a new Cherry Street Firehouse, approximately 25,700 square feet, at the current fire station site. The project also includes the demolition and expansion of a new Parks Shop Building and Water Maintenance Shop building, with both the new building and addition totaling approximately 6,000 square feet each. The construction manager at risk (CMaR) will be selected through a two-stage process: Statement of Qualifications and then an Interview and Cost Proposal, with the best value proposal being chosen. Minimum requirements for bidders include firm relevant experience, team experience and qualifications, local market experience and state preference, understanding and approach to the project, project management, safety, and other factors to be further defined.
