Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove and replace the existing roofing system for four portables at Apple Valley Adult Education Center. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly displaying the company name and "BID ENCLOSED: BID NO. 25.26.1242 - ROOFING REPLACEMENT [PAWNEE]" in the lower left-hand corner to the Front Desk Receptionist at 760 East Brier Drive, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Materials Bond will be required from the awarded contractor for any individual project exceeding $25,000.00 during the term of the award. Bids must comply with California Labor Code and all contractors must be appropriately licensed and registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Attendance at the mandatory site walk is required for all bidders. Unsealed, faxed, or emailed submissions will not be accepted. Pressure wash roofing system and remove any mastic, caulking, dirt, debris, or anything that can affect the bonding of the coating. 2. Mechanically crimp all each panel seams. 3. Cut back horizontal surface of gutter guard on all sections and clean gutters. 4. Any light rusting should be removed with a wire brush. Severe rusting must have metal removed and new 24 gauge, galvanized sheet metal patch installed. Set in butyl tape and fasten every 1 1/4 ". 5. Prime all metal surfaces with metal primer at a rate of 1/4-1/2 gallon per square. 6. Perform pull test on membrane to ensure proper adhesion of coating. 7. Install soft polyester over all seams and three course with Cool-Sil. 8. Apply Cool-Sil at 3.0 gallons per square over entire roof surface. 9. Use Cool-Sil Mastic to seal all penetrations and panel ends. 10. Contractor to provide Five-year labor warranty.
