Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 356,335-square-foot, eight-story above grade, one-story below grade medical facility; 356,335-square-foot, eight-story above grade, one-story below grade educational facility; and for the demolition of a educational facility.
The work consists of a comprehensive renovation of 356,335 GSF divided into two phases: Phase 1 includes 70,090 GSF of select areas on the Basement, Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th floors; Phase 2 includes 286,245 GSF of the Basement, Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and Penthouse. The scope includes demolition of an existing entrance and construction of a new entrance, asphalt work, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter work, demolition of an existing concrete vault and reconstruction of a concrete retaining wall. Renovations involve removing old hospital patient rooms, treatment rooms, clinic spaces, replacing old infrastructure including architectural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, and plumbing systems, and installing new exterior envelope insulation. A new mechanical penthouse will be constructed for multiple air handling units, and central chilled water utilities will be extended as necessary to all air handling units and terminals. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
