The Tuscarawas County Board of Commissioners intends to contract for engineering services in connection with the Community Development Block Grant #25NR-1CT-25CDBG, Activities #1 & 2. Interested engineering firms must submit a "Statement of Qualifications" including information about the firm's history, education and experience of the owners and key technical personnel, the technical expertise of current staff, experience in designing similar projects, experience with CDBG projects, staff availability, equipment and facilities, references, and any previous work for the Tuscarawas County Board of Commissioners. A more detailed scope of services and evaluation criteria will be available upon request. Three copies of the qualifications package must be submitted to the Tuscarawas County Office of Community & Economic Development prior to the deadline. Firms will be evaluated and ranked based on their qualifications, with negotiations following for the most qualified firm. A letter of interest based on a prior qualifications submission will not be accepted. Preliminary project descriptions: Activity #1: City of Uhrichsville - East 1st Street - Curb and Sidewalk Improvements: Removal and replacement of south side curb, sidewalks and drive approach on East 1st Street, from North Main Street to North Dawson Street. Includes adding curb ramps with truncated domes, adjusting utility valve boxes to grade, and adding new seeding and mulch. - Scope: Engineering, inspection & construction oversight. - Total Project Budget: $148,000.00 (CDBG funds) Activity #2: Sandy Township - German Cemetery Road NE, Cross Street NE & Linders Alley NE - Street Improvements: Planning and resurfacing approximately 4,530 linear feet of asphalt on German Cemetery Road NE (9008 to 9524), Linders Alley NE (8508 to 8529), and Cross Street NE. - Scope: Engineering, inspection & construction oversight. - Total Project Budget: $143,800.00 (CDBG funds) Special Requirements: This is a Community Development Block Grant Project and all applicable federal or state regulations will apply.
