Each facility requires custom-designed netting to match the specific needs and restore the original condition or design. Contractor responsibilities include removing and disposing of existing netting and materials, supplying all necessary equipment and materials, and completing work between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Installation specifications include the use of schedule 40 galvanized poles set in concrete, twisted knotted black nylon 1 3/4 " mesh netting minimum #24 gauge, UV-protected coating, galvanized steel cable with cable clamps, barrier and overhead netting with proper cable requirements, and "elephant trunks" for ball return where required. Site-specific scopes: - Palencia Park: Replace 12,000 sq. ft. of overhead netting, install 12' x 180' barrier netting, perimeter barrier netting, and seventeen 20' support poles. - Landrum Middle School: Replace 185' of 15' tall baseball netting around the baseball field. - Aberdeen Park: Replace 150' of 8' netting and 90' of 10' netting at the softball complex. - Mills Field: Replace 150' of 12' tall baseball netting on the third base side of field #7.
