Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Fruit Cove, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The current building located at 2059 SR 13 has been used as storage and is in need of major repairs or demolition. Renovation to this property could allow for a local community center to support local community, not for profit, cultural art programming. This would be a phased project with the first phase being demolition of building and design for a new building or rebuild historically accurate 1900s Switzerland community center. Funding is requested from General Fund and NW Tower Funds. Phase 1 would include demo and design of rebuilt structure. Phase 2 would be construction. The project is included in the County 2026 - 2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of Oct 16,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
