Site work and paving for an educational facility in Simi Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The project is for paving repairs at multiple school sites within the Simi Valley Unified School District. All bids must be submitted using the forms provided by the District. The project duration is 47 calendar days. The project follows the informal bid requirements of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA). Contractors must be on the District's current list of approved contractors, be properly licensed (Class C-12 Earthwork and Paving Contractor's License), and comply with all requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. A mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk at multiple school sites is required; failure to attend makes a bidder non-responsive. Bids must include a list of subcontractors, bid security (minimum of 10% of the maximum bid), and performance/payment bonds (each 100% of contract amount). Contractors and all subcontractors must pay prevailing wages, be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and submit certified payroll monthly. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities or informalities in any bids or bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for 90 days after opening. The District permits substitution of securities for retention withheld under the Contract. The Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) requirements apply. Requests for substitutions must be made at the time of bid using the provided form. It is each bidder's responsibility to ensure timely delivery of its bid to the designated location.
