Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Severn, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The submittal of responses is invited from firms qualified in North Carolina to perform engineering, landscape architecture, and related comprehensive design and construction administration services. The project involves the design of various improvements to the existing Town Park, which is approximately 5.28 acres in size, with plans to expand it onto adjacent property owned by the Ruritan Club. The existing park features swings, a seesaw, a roundabout, and a basketball court. All playground equipment will be upgraded and improved, and the basketball court should be resurfaced or replaced. The concession stand, which includes two restrooms, is to be improved, including making restrooms ADA accessible. Parking spots need to be designated with ADA accessibility. The selected firm will be responsible for design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases, including permitting, bid assistance, construction observation, and usual tasks required from the conceptual planning phase through to completion and close-out of the project. Scope of Services may include, but are not limited to: preparing project plans and specifications in accordance with program requirements and state regulations; assisting with CDBG Neighborhood Revitalization funding requirements, including procurement; surveying services and field staking; preparing final design and construction bid package; supervising bid advertising, tabulation, and award process; and handling state and local permitting processes, including for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems, as applicable.
