Site work and paving for a road / highway in Prosperity, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Sealed proposals are requested for the furnishing and installation of approximately 77,000 square yards of bituminous seal coat, single application. The contractor must provide all necessary washed #8 course aggregate stone that meets PennDOT Specification of 1.0, E-3 Oil, as well as all labor and equipment required to meet the specifications. The project must comply with PennDOT Publication 408/2016, Sections 470 and 703.2, for stone specifications. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the municipality. For third class cities, bids must include a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid amount, payable to the municipality. A performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract is required from the successful bidder within 20 days of contract award. The municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day.
