Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Waynesboro, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Base Bid for this project includes pavement rehabilitation for Runway 08/26 at Burke County Airport: milling of existing pavement, crack sealing of milled surfaces or placement of an overlay interlayer instead of crack sealing to alleviate further crack propagation, overlaying a new asphalt wearing surface, additional full-depth repairs as required in areas of anomalous cracking based on geotechnical analysis and field evaluation, and remarking of all affected airfield pavements in compliance with FAA AC 150/5340-1M, Standards for Airport Markings. The project also includes bid options for pavement replacement and subgrade rehabilitation in the western portion of the runway and associated taxiway areas: Bid Option 1A for runway only, Bid Option 1B for taxiway only, and Bid Option 2 for a reduced scope of both runway and taxiway areas in the western portion of the project limits. Bids must be submitted on the complete project in a sealed envelope with the required information. Bids must be made on provided forms. Attendance by prime general contractors at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required. A certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the bid is required. The successful bidder must furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond each equal to 100% of the contract price, and provide satisfactory proof of required insurance. The successful bidder must commence work as ordered and complete the project within forty-five consecutive calendar days from issuance of contract and notice to proceed. A DBE participation goal of 8.78% is required. The project is conditioned upon federal funding and must comply with federal contract provisions including Buy American Preferences, Davis-Bacon Act, Debarment and Suspension, lobbying restrictions, recovered materials requirements, trade restrictions, and prohibition of certain unmanned aircraft systems.
