The project involves the replacement of an existing water main along New York state routes within the Village of Bath. The work includes the installation of approximately 18,000 feet of 12-inch and 1,500 feet of 4-inch through 10-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main and associated appurtenances. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the maximum bid as a guarantee for contract execution and provision of necessary bonds if awarded. The selected contractor must meet the funding requirements of the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation, USDA Rural Development, and the NYS Community Development Block Grant Program. Payment of minimum wage rates in compliance with the New York Department of Labor and Davis Bacon wage rates is required. All iron and steel products used must meet American Iron and Steel requirements and Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) standards, and must be produced in the United States, with applicable waivers for certain components.
