The City of Avondale is issuing a Request For Qualifications seeking statements of qualifications from qualified, licensed Construction Manager at Risk firms to provide services for the Agua Fria Pedestrian Bridge. The city's trail system is progressing to create a continuous trail from north to south across the city along the Agua Fria River. A key component for the trail system's development is a crossing across an ADOT drainage channel between the city's Friendship Park and Interstate 10. Design is currently scheduled to be completed to 60 percent in June 2026.
