Site work for a water / sewer project in Jena, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids marked "Sealed Bid" will be received by the Town of Jena for the construction of the Town of Jena Wastewater Treatment Improvements Grit Chamber System. All bids must be submitted on the proper form, with the contractor's license number displayed on the outside of the envelope. Bids received after the specified date and time will not be considered. Contractors must reproduce/print their own bidding documents and provide evidence of holding a State License of proper classification. The project is classified as Municipal and Public Works. The Corporate Resolution must be signed and sealed. Each bidder must deposit required security with their bid, as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid bonds must be written by an approved surety or insurance company. The contractor may withdraw a bid by affidavit within 48 hours of bid opening for obvious unintentional errors. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for forty-five days after opening. The contractor shall begin work within ten working days of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder must execute the Owner's Standard Form of Agreement/Contract and provide performance and payment bonds within ten working days of the Notice of Award. Minority Business Enterprises are afforded equal opportunity. Special ADA accommodations can be requested seven days in advance of bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. A.
