Site work for a water / sewer project in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a dam / floodwall.
All necessary earthwork, labor, materials, and equipment for the repair of the watershed lake dam, including approximately 0.88 acres of tree removal, burrow and turf repair across the dam surface, riprap installation, CCTV inspection, and all appurtenances as depicted in the Drawings. Sealed proposals must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as follows: "Sealed Proposal for Contract 562-26-06. Not to be opened until 11:00 am., local time, Wednesday, May 27, 2026." If mailed, the sealed envelope containing the proposal must be enclosed in another envelope and mailed to the Hopkinsville Surface and Stormwater Utility, allowing sufficient time to reach the address prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of proposals. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Hopkinsville Surface and Stormwater Utility in an amount not less than the percent of the base bid indicated in Specification Section C-200, Instructions to Bidders, Bid Security. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 90 days after the date bids are opened, but may withdraw at any time before the scheduled opening or any authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the specified time and date will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Hopkinsville Surface and Stormwater Utility reserves the right to award to a Local Firm, defined as a business with its principal place of business located in Hopkinsville and/or Christian County that pays a majority of its payroll in dollar volume to residents of Hopkinsville and/or Christian County, if the bid of the Local Firm is within 5 percent of the lowest bid, which may include add-ons or deletions from the base bid. Bidders requesting local preference must provide documentation demonstrating compliance with the definition, along with their bid submittal. The Hopkinsville Surface and Stormwater Utility may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of this advertisement and/or the Specifications and may waive any informalities or reject any and all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The value range for this project is $100,000-$150,000.
