The work consists of supplying a 2500 kVA spare transformer with additional rating (KNAN KNAF rated cooling) of 3300 kVA and replacing two existing 15kV feeders, including upgrades to associated pole mounted equipment. Major components include: disconnection and removal of two 15kV pole mounted gang operated switches and installation of bypass connections; replacement of the existing 15kV feeder associated with the Rannock Substation from pole mounted equipment to an existing 2500 kVA transformer, which includes replacing associated 15kV gang operated switch and power fuses with new 25kV devices; replacement of the existing 15kV feeder associated with Headingley Substation from pole mounted equipment to an existing 2500 kVA transformer, including installation of a new pole, new cables, and new 25kV gang operated switch and power fuses; provision of a new spare 2500 kVA 12.6kV 600V oil filled substation type padmounted transformer; coordination and approvals with MB Hydro for outages and supplied equipment; coordination and approvals for permits; disconnection and reconnection of existing overhead lines; grounding upgrade; excavation, shoring, and backfilling as required; grading of area around existing poles; modifications to existing fence and installation of new gate; installation of concrete pads around poles with operable equipment; site restoration and cleanup; all other work as detailed in the drawings and technical specifications; and maintaining and coordinating construction to ensure continued power and operation at the WEWPCC facility, with only short power transfer outages permitted.
