The City of Oakwood, Georgia is seeking qualifications and proposals from grant writing and administration firms experienced in assisting local governments with planning, writing, applying for, and administering state and federal community, economic development, and transportation projects. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, multi-modal transportation infrastructure (such as sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, streetscapes, signalization, roundabouts), water, sewer, stormwater systems, downtown, commercial and industrial areas, recreation areas, and public spaces, in alignment with local and regional plans. The selected consultant will assist the city, its engineers, and stakeholders with various community and economic development projects. Required services include project conceptualization, identifying financing options, preparing and administering funding applications, maintaining financial control, and ensuring reporting and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Immediate tasks include providing competitive preliminary engineering for an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) pre-application and application, as well as supporting a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) grant and subsequent citywide Safety Action Plan, in accordance with relevant local and regional plans and initiatives.
