Renovation of a municipal facility in Aurora, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The work includes furnishing all labor, equipment, and the noted material for improvements consisting of a full shingle roof replacement including gutters. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Bid Express website, where all bid forms, contract documents, and plans are available. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent of the amount bid, or a bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the bid, made payable to the City of Aurora. Wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, by the bid opening date and time if not providing a digital bid bond. Should a bidder find any discrepancy in, or omissions from, the specifications or be in doubt as to their meaning, the bidder shall at once submit a question through Bid Express in writing. The City will not be responsible for any oral instructions. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time. If clarification of any part of the contract documents is needed, requests for interpretation may be submitted through Online. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, and accept any bid deemed most favorable to the City.
