Site work for a communication facility in Moran, Wyoming. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.
The contractor will provide a radar based avalanche detection system with all power and communications hardware. This system will include all sensors, camera(s), 12/24V DC power supply including charging system, wiring and connectors, and user interface. The user interface will be cloud based and can be accessed remotely by WYDOT personnel. This system will be installed prior to November 15, 2026 at the coordinates N43 17'3.78, W110 37'3.42". This site is a small rock shelf providing a relatively flat rocky surface. Access to the site is via a roughly half mile hike through the Bridger Teton National Forest. WYDOT will provide helicopter time to transport equipment and materials needed for installation. Site preparation, including the supply and installation of a vertical steel pole, will be provided by WYDOT. All required construction permits have been obtained by WYDOT.
