The work includes providing all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to perform maintenance and repair services associated with on-call potable water and sanitary sewer repair services. Services may include, but are not limited to, excavation, procurement of materials, installation, backfill, paving, and all work required for repair and construction of water and sewer systems using various pipe materials and sizes as specified. Contractors must be able to respond to emergencies within two hours of notice, 24/7, including holidays. All work must be performed in accordance with applicable standards, including the Greenbook, Cal-OSHA requirements, State Water Resources Control Board Health Guidelines, and AWWA Standards. Contractors are responsible for all traffic control, street restoration, and obtaining necessary permits. Normal working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with emergency response available at all times. The Contractor must maintain all work sites free of hazards and ensure maximum public safety. All debris must be removed and properly disposed of, and the Contractor must provide supervisors fluent in English during all work. Proposals must follow a specified format and provide details on company qualifications, personnel, references, and billing rates. Only one proposal per company is allowed, and proposals must be submitted electronically. All required licenses, permits, bonds, and insurance must be maintained for the duration of the contract, and contractors should expect periodic performance reviews and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
