Site work for an educational facility in Port Hadlock, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a seven-room educational facility.
This contract provides for the installation of on-site grinder pumps for the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding and associated school buildings, which also includes seven cabins and Ajax's Café, and Star Marine. The work also includes the connection to the existing low pressure sewer (LPS) collection system; the installation of 3-inch HDPE LPS collection pipe, 2-inch HDPE low pressure side sewer pipe, grinder pump tanks, grinder pumps and control panels; the connection to existing building drains and appurtenances; the startup and testing of the grinder pumps; the abandoning of the existing septic tank systems; clearing and grubbing; the placement of hot mix asphalt and cement concrete sidewalks; and other work, all in accordance with the attached contract plans, contract provisions, and standard specifications. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the plans and specifications in the bid documents. All bid documents including bid forms, plans, specifications, addenda, and plan holders list, are available on the Builders Exchange of Washington website. Bidders must register as a bidder to receive notifications about addenda and to be placed on the Bidders List. Contractors are required to attend one of the mandatory pre-bid site walkthroughs at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond, postal money order, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the amount of five percent of the bid. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and file a surety bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within ten days of the award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in bidding.
