Sealed proposals are invited for the Resurfacing of W. Central & Hawthorne Ave. project. Proposals must be made on the Proposal Forms and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders that are available on the City website. Proposals must be delivered to and be on file with the office of Elizabeth Bell by 10:00 a.m. on the specified date. The envelope containing the proposal must be sealed and plainly marked with the project name. The City reserves the right to reject any proposals for failure to comply with all requirements or to reject all proposals or award a contract as deemed in the best interest of the City. Minor defects or informalities may be waived at the City's discretion. The purpose of this project is to resurface selected streets to maintain pavement quality, improve safety, and extend the useful life of the roadway system. The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the resurface process in accordance with industry standards and City specifications. Work shall include site preparation, application process, traffic control, and cleanup. The City reserves the right to modify, substitute, or adjust the list of designated streets prior to or during the project based on engineering evaluations, contractor recommendations, and discussions with City staff to ensure the most effective use of resources and optimal roadway preservation outcomes.
