Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Mount Holly, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and educational facility.
A. Furnish all materials, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, insurance, taxes, contributions and all services and facilities, unless specifically excluded, and install materials, items and equipment required to complete the construction of the Project as set forth in the Contract Documents. B. This project includes the complete demolition of two existing buildings and associated elements on the property of Mt. Holly Middle School owned by Gaston County Schools. The two buildings are not part of the middle school campus. The project shall include The demolition of Vocational Building E (constructed in 1938) and the adjacent utility shed (construction date unknow). Non-mandatory salvage, reclamation and or sale of historic building materials to include the facing brick and usable materials. This shall be implemented only at no cost to the Owner. Demolition of associated building, footings, foundations, and underground services to include existing storm drain lines. Demolition of exterior concrete steps and related concrete sidewalks. Demolition of existing concrete basement walls. Demolition of exterior chain link fencing. The existing underground storage tanks and their associated underground pipelines used for heating are not to be disturbed. Demolition of identified underground site services and utilities. All identified utilities shall be terminated and capped off properly. Installation of temporary construction fencing. Installation of all erosion and sediment control systems and ground stabilization. After demolition the site area shall be filled, graded and seeded. If any person contemplating submitting a Bid for the construction of the Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the proposed Contract Documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from any part of the Contract Documents, they may submit to the Architect a written request for interpretation or correction thereof, no later than 7 calendar days prior to the receipt of Bids. The General Contract scope of work includes demolishing the existing buildings (Vocational Building E and Utility Shed) including their foundations and associated site work.
