The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing roofing systems. All work must be performed in accordance with the full project plans, specifications, and contract documents provided by the District. The Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the project in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and District requirements. The Contractor is responsible for coordinating closely with the District regarding site access, logistics, and designated staging areas. Work activities must be planned and executed to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of students, staff, and campus operations. Instructions to bidders include: submitting bid proposals in compliance with the Instructions for Bidders; attending a mandatory pre-bid job walk; submitting bids to the specified District Office location; including bid security with each proposal; possessing the required C-39 California Contractors License at the time of contract award; ensuring all contractors and subcontractors are registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR); and paying prevailing wage rates as required by law. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding in accordance with applicable laws.
