Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Melbourne, Florida. Working plans call civil work for a road / highway, sidewalk / parking lot and water / sewer project.
As of July 29 2026 the project is canceled due to insufficient project budget. No definite date for the rebid. The project includes drainage improvements to alleviate localized flooding on Front Street, just south of the Melbourne Avenue/Front Street intersection including storm sewer pipe, Type F inlet, manhole rim adjustment and concrete flumes. Other improvements include curb ramp upgrades, milling and resurfacing, concrete sidewalk, clearing and grubbing, maintenance of traffic, waterline deflection, signage, pavement markings and sod. The successful bidder must be FDOT prequalified in Work Classes 7 and 40. Contractor, or its subcontractor(s), shall possess and maintain one of the following licenses and/or certifications: Florida Registered or Certified General Contractor, or Florida Underground Contractor.
