Site work and environmental remediation for a playground / park / athletic field in Rye, Colorado. Completed plans call civil work for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project is for furnishing the Department of Public Works with mechanical variable thinning, sawtimber removal, and mastication services on approximately 64.2 acres within Rye Mountain Park, located near Rye, Colorado. The project includes selectively thinning marked ponderosa pine and other conifers (8"-18" DBH), processing tops and limbs, masticating slash and small-diameter material, and related fuels reduction work to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health. All work must comply with the Scope of Work from the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) Financial Assistance Program. Note* Late bids will not be accepted or considered. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that his bid is properly delivered to the proper authority at such time and place stipulated in this Invitation for Bid.' CSFS Account Number: 5350208 Contractor to begin work no later than May of 2027 ; Work must be completed no later than June 30, 2027 SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the attached CSFS Scope of Work for Rye Mountain Park, including but not limited to: Cutting and removing all conifer trees marked with BLUE paint (8"-18" DBH sawtimber). Processing tops and limbs within units for mastication. Mastication of non-sawtimber conifers (0"-7.9" DBH) at 20' x 20' spacing and Gambel oak per prescription. Maintaining target basal areas and variable density (gaps, clusters, legacy tree protection). Stream Management Zone buffers. Utilization standards, slash/chip depth limits (<10"), and merchantable material removal. Full compliance with CSFS Best Management Practices, safety standards, and grant requirements. Documentation and reporting for reimbursement (before/after photos, inspection readiness). Contractor must employ qualified personnel experienced in forestry thinning/mastication and be capable of operating appropriate equipment (e.g., feller-bunchers, skidders, masticators) while minimizing damage to residual trees and soils.
