Reference Number 0000423811 Question Deadline 05/26/2026 at 2:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes The District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to furnish labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform fencing and security gate improvements at four campus locations. Work generally includes removal of existing fencing and gates, modification of existing posts where required, and installation of new security fencing systems and gate, installation of new panic hardware and self-closing hinges and welding of picket extensions where required to maintain security clearances. The project is divided into four separate scopes. Contractors must submit a bid form that includes scopes A, B, C, and D as well as the total project pricing. The fencing locations must be measured by your firm to ensure accuracy in your pricing. Scope A High School Courtyard Replacement of fence panels and gates Scope B HS / CTC Courtyard Replacement of fence panels and gates and weld new picket extension. Scope C CALA Courtyard Replacement of fence panels and gates Scope D Welding Shop Chain link fencing, gates, and bollards 1. Black Centurion Fencing (Scope A, B, C) Removal of Existing Fence The contractor shall: o Remove existing ornamental fence panels and gates within the courtyard. o Remove all associated fasteners and hardware. o Dispose of all removed materials off-site in accordance with local regulations. o Protect adjacent structures, pavement, landscaping, and building components during removal. Modification of Existing Fence Posts The contractor shall: o Inspect existing fence posts for structural integrity. o Install post extensions on existing posts to support a finished fence height of 7 feet. o Ensure all posts are plumb, properly aligned, and structurally sound. Installation of New Fence Panels The contractor shall furnish and install: o 7-foot-high Centurion Enforcer two-rail fence panels or approved equivalent. o Panels shall be properly aligned, leveled, and securely fastened. o Installation shall follow manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Installation of Gates The contractor shall: o Furnish and install new Centurion Enforcer two-rail gates compatible with the fence system. o Install gates to allow proper swing clearance and alignment. Gate Hardware The contractor shall supply and install: o New panic bars on all applicable gates. o New self-closing hinges. o All necessary mounting hardware. o Hardware shall be properly aligned, secure, and fully functional upon project completion. Picket Extensions at High School CTC Courtyard The contractor shall: o Weld picket extensions under gates and fence panels where required to eliminate gaps. o Ensure all welded components are properly finished and protected against corrosion. o Maintain consistent security and appearance across the entire fence system. Final Inspection and Adjustments The contractor shall: o Inspect all installed panels, gates, and hardware. o Adjust gates to ensure proper operation and closure. o Ensure panic hardware functions correctly. o Clean the work area and remove debris. 2. Chain Link Fencing Scope D Fence Installation Furnish and install approximately 90 linear feet of 6-foot-high galvanized chain link fencing. Fence shall include: o Galvanized steel posts and rails o Galvanized chain link fabric o Proper concrete footings for posts o All necessary hardware and fittings. Gate Relocation o Relocate (1) existing 12-foot-wide double swing gate to a new location as directed by the owner. o Adjust posts, hinges, and hardware as required to ensure proper operation. New Gate Installation Furnish and install: o new 12-foot-wide double swing gate with galvanized frame and chain link infill. o new 3-foot-wide pedestrian gate equipped with a panic bar exit device. All gates shall include: o Heavy-duty hinges o Drop rods for double gate o Latch hardware o Proper gate posts set in concrete. Bollard Installation o Furnish and install (9) 4-inch steel bollards. Bollards shall be: o Installed in concrete footings o Set plumb and evenly spaced as directed by the owner. o Furnish and install yellow bollard covers on each bollard.
