Efficiency Manitoba is seeking to prequalify additional Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) contractors throughout Manitoba to support the Energy Efficiency Assistance Program (EEAP) and Métis Energy Efficiency Offers (MEEO). Contractors will provide installation services for GSHP systems in qualifying low-to-moderate income households, including those served by the Red River Métis community. Installations must be completed by one contractor per home with minimal use of subcontractors, and contractors must demonstrate the ability to complete installations in most types of rural and urban homes. Efficiency Manitoba will compensate contractors directly for completed installations in accordance with the rate schedule. The list of pre-qualified contractors will be provided to eligible customers, who are encouraged to select a contractor in or near their region for installation services. Qualified contractors must have a demonstrated ability to complete GSHP installations in most types of homes, including both rural and urban settings.
