Site work and paving for a road / highway in Stockbridge, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Paving on Blackmer BLVD. See attached BID Form. Special Instructions: See attached BID FORM. The contractor shall submit a Price for all work at a price per ton in place to include cutting the joints with a grinder on a skid steer, sweeping the road clear of all debris prior to paving and applying an asphalt tack prior to paving. All areas to be shimmed are marked with orange paint. Blackmer will be closed to thru traffic while paving operations are in progress. All work will be under the supervision of the Town of Stockbridge Road Foreman. The contractor will give a copy of all delivery slips for materials to the town to show the tonnage used on the project. See attached scope of work. No changes shall be made to this agreement unless done in writing and approved by both the town and the contractor. The Town of Stockbridge has the right to reject any and all Bids. Scope of Work: Site #1 The Town of Stockbridge, VT is requesting Bids to shim a portion of Blackmer BLVD. The length of the project is approximately 2,000 feet long and approximately 24 feet wide. The depth of the shim layer is to be a nominal 1.25 inches thick. Bituminous Concrete pavement TYPE IV shall be used (3/8''). The location is just east of the intersection with VT Route 100. The beginning and ending points are marked with orange paint. The Town of Stockbridge will close the road to all traffic during paving. The contractor shall sweep the roadway surface prior to paving. The contractor shall grind 6-foot butt joints at each end of the paving. The contractor shall apply Tack to all surface's to be paved. The cost of Sweeping, Tack and Grinding shall be included in the paving price per ton. Quantities shown are for estimating purposes only. The contractor shall verify quantities for preparing bids. Site #2 The location of site #2 is just west of VT Route 107. The sites are marked with orange paint and labeled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and 2E. The Town of Stockbridge will close the road to all traffic during paving. The contractor shall sweep the roadway surface prior to paving. The contractor shall grind butt joints at each end and latterly along the area to be paved. The contractor shall apply Tack to all surface's to be paved. The cost of Sweeping, Tack and Grinding shall be included in the paving price per ton. Quantities shown are for estimating purposes only. The contractor shall verify quantities for preparing bids. Bituminous Concrete pavement TYPE IV shall be used (3/8'')
