The County of Riverside is soliciting quotations for backflow preventative maintenance services, which include but are not limited to inspection, testing, preventative maintenance, and certification of backflow prevention assemblies serving the county. The county maintains over 100 buildings requiring specialized plumbing technicians, with a list of building locations and addresses included. The buildings are located across four regions: Central, Eastern, Western, and Northwestern. The county reserves the right to add or remove equipment of a similar nature to those detailed, through a written amendment to the awarded contractor’s current agreement. Scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs over $1,000 are subject to prevailing wage requirements and compliance monitoring by the California Department of Industrial Relations. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess a current C-36 Plumbing Contractors License from the California State License Board, as well as current Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) certification. Proof of registration and current license must be attached with the bid. Bidders are required to adhere to all legal requirements, laws, and ordinances to perform these services, and must include a list of labor rates by determination and classification for these services, using Southern California / Riverside County rates.
