Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newark, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of asphalt concrete overlay and patch paving on various streets within the City of Newark. The scope of work includes traffic control, asphalt concrete roadway surface wedge/conform/full width grinding, localized full depth asphalt concrete patch paving of various depths, grading, placement of asphalt concrete, installation of temporary pavement delineation, replacing and/or adjusting existing utility/City monument frames and covers to finished grade, application of thermoplastic traffic striping and pavement legends, replacing and installing traffic signal loops and installing handholes, and other related items of work. Bid date notes: If the bid is sent by mail, the sealed bid envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope/box. The mailing envelope/box shall also be clearly marked on its face with the notation “SEALED BID ENCLOSED, CITY OF NEWARK” with an identification of the PROJECT NAME, PROJECT NUMBER and BID DATE as identified on this Notice to Bidders. Bid Opening Notes: The bid opening will be held using a hybrid format. At that time, all bids will be publicly opened, examined, and declared in the City Council Chambers at the City of Newark David W. Smith City Hall, 37101 Newark Boulevard, First Floor.
