Remodeling of a swimming pool in Newark, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 6,000-square-foot swimming pool.
**As of March 24th, this project has been awarded to 7375082 for $139,230.** The work consists of the removal and demolition of the existing lazy river pool finishes and all other miscellaneous items shown on plans, as well as the construction of lazy river finishes including but not limited to plaster and tile. The project also requires the installation of new mechanical equipment, a UV system, valves, gauges, and all other items necessary to provide a completely operational aquatic facility. All work is to be completed within thirty calendar days from the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, transportation, and services necessary for the construction and completion of the project. All work in Sections 131100 - 131108 must be performed by an experienced swimming pool subcontractor primarily engaged in the construction of commercial public-use swimming pools, as defined by experience and revenue qualifications in the bidding instructions. The project location is 6800 Mowry Avenue, Newark, CA 94560. Bidders must submit a completed Bond Accompanying Bid form and a bid guarantee of not less than 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total bid price. All contractors are required to register with the Department of Industrial Relations and comply with applicable prevailing wage laws. Proof of insurance coverage for commercial general liability, automobile liability, and worker's compensation/employer's liability is required. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope and clearly marked as specified. Electronic bids are not accepted. The City of Newark reserves the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to waive minor informalities or irregularities that do not influence the competitive nature of the bid.
