Moran Township is seeking proposals for a qualified trail builder for the construction of Phase 1 of the Silver Mountain Hike and Bike Trail Expansion Project. When completed, the project will expand the existing 1.6-mile loop into a 4.1-mile terrain-driven system of progressive difficulty. Scope of Work The selected contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete trail construction generally consistent with the provided design manual and plans for Trails 100, 101, 200 and 300. Work includes, but is not limited to: Trail corridor clearing and grubbing Construction of approximately 1.53 miles of natural surface singletrack Trail tread shaping and finish work Drainage, grade reversals, and erosion control measures Rock armoring, shaping, and native material integration where appropriate Final cleanup and stabilization Contractor shall coordinate with Moran Township and project representatives regarding field adjustments necessary to address unforeseen site conditions. Contractor shall coordinate with Moran Township to locate appropriate onsite material staging areas and/or equipment storage areas that may be required to support construction.
