Renovation of a library in Decorah, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
This project consists of replacement of existing EFIS building envelope with new rainscreen building envelope, including new insulation, exterior sheathing, fiber cement board panels, and window systems. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash deposit, cashier's check, or a certified check in the amount not less than 5% of the proposal. Sealed proposals will be received, publicly opened, and read aloud at the specified location and time. Bid documents may be ordered through Rapids Reproductions with a deposit, refundable upon return of documents per instructions. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory surety bond and enter into contract, or the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw the proposal for thirty days after bid opening. The Contractor shall give preference to Iowa domestic labor, products, and provisions grown, and coal produced within the State of Iowa, according to the provisions of Chapter 73, Code of Iowa 2016. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
